Question: You said that the term Christmas is invented by the Roman Catholic Church. So, when did the people start to celebrate Christmas?
Answer:
The term Christmas is indeed an invention of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebration itself is another invention of the Roman Catholic Church.
Prior to the introduction of Christmas, the Roman empire before celebrated the feast of their Sun god Mithras. The feast is called Natalis Solis Invicti or the birthday of the unconquerable Sun and this feast was celebrated on December 25. This feast is of course a pagan festival.
The Roman Catholic Church started to introduce Christmas in the midst of the fourth century (after the death of Christ). Christmas is actually the Christianized pagan feast. Instead of celebrating the birthday of the Sun God, the Catholic Church introduced Christmas as the birthday of Christ.

Who Invented Christmas?
Question:On December 25 people will celebrate Christmas. They say that it is the birthday of Christ. But I really doubt that it is the birthday of Christmas especially that month and year of the birth of Christ is not mentioned in the Bible. So my question is: who invented Christmas?
Answer:
It is true that the month, year and date of the birth of Christ is not mentioned in the Bible. It is not even mentioned in any other books. But if we would examine the Bible, we would learn that Christ was born during the time of the decree of Caesar Augustus:
We couldn't find document that would tell us the real date of the time when Caesar Augustus decreed such decree. But by considering what the shepherds did during that time, we could tell that Christ was born not during the winter time. And we already know it is winter time during December, and the flock couldn't stay outside of the field during winter. In other words, December is not the real month when Christ was born.
So, who really invented Christmas?
Christmas actually is derived from the words, "Christ" and "Mass". We could find the term "Christ" in the Bible but the term "Mass" is no where in it. The term "Mass" is originally a Catholic term, and therefore, "Christmas" is merely an invention of the Roman Catholic Church.

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. (Luke 2:8, New King James Version)These are the hints when was the birth of Christ.
