Should I Change Religion for my soon-to be Husband?

I was raised Catholic and I really love practicing my religious duties and conviction. Last January 2011, I meet the man who taught me to love. I love him so much.

It was June 2011 when we got into a relationship. He cared for me so much and he showed me in every ways how he really loves me.

In July, he told me to change my religion to his. He is a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. Since that time, I really am really confused what to do. Should I change my religion for him, or should I stay in my religion and he will change his religion for me.

But, he told me that he couldn't change his religion. He even told me that asking me to change my religion is his other way of showing that he loves me.

Please help me....

I understand what you feel.

Actually, you'll not be confused what to do if you will open up your mind for the religion. Why not try to examine their religion by attending their seminar on doctrines? That's the best step you need to do first before deciding what to do. After all, it's a biblical teaching to examine the teaching of any religion to know whether it is of God or not for you to make sure that you'll be walking on the path towards salvation.

When I say examining a religion, I really mean studying their doctrines by attending a seminar on their doctrine. And then compare the teachings of your current religion to his religion. Then after doing this, and you'll find out that there will be nothing wrong if you'll join them, then why not do that? But if you think that their teachings are not of God, then why join their religion?

But you need to understand that active members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, or those who accepted and understand its doctrines will never change their religion just for a girlfriend or boyfriend or loveones or work. They are the type of members that give priorities to their spiritual obligations. Most of them abandon their obligations at work just to attend their worship services.

But in the case of your boyfriend, it is true that he really loves you. Inviting you to change your religion is one of the ways that show his love to you. He simply wants you to be saved on judgment day for his belief is that outside the true Church of Christ, there is no salvation. He simply wants you to serve the true God, because he believes that outside the true Church of Christ is worshiping the false gods.

It might be true that there are couples who became successful in terms of spiritual life even if they have different religion. What I mean, the husband is affiliated with a certain sect different from the sect that the wife goes with. But I don't think you'll get married if you will not change your religion to his religion because in the INC, members are prohibited to marry non-members.

Has Floyd Mayweather Jr poor Sportsmanship?

I watched the fight of Floyd Mayweather Jr and Victor Ortiz.

I can say that the fight is well controlled by Floyd who has a higher  percentage of accuracy compared to his opponent.

However, I really hate to see that he knocked his opponent even if it is still waiting something from the referee.

Does what Floyd showed a sign of an athlete with poor sportsmanship?

I also watched the fight last Sunday here in the Philippines. But I choose to watch it via Satellite than via pay-per-view. I am not really the fan of these two fighters.

Now, regarding on how Floyd Mayweather Jr knocked out Victor Ortiz... Well, there is nothing wrong with it. Officially, the time for the fight was called by the referee  in which means that the fight will start again as to finish the round.

The only problem is that the referee failed to properly start the fight just like what most of the referee have done  when signaling the two fighters to continue the halted fight for a particular round.

Even if the referee has shortcoming, Victor Ortiz has forgotten the very rule in boxing while inside the ring, that is to protect self always.

But in terms of sportsmanship.... Well, Floyd Mayweather Jr seems short of it. He couldn't just wait for his opponent to raise his globes before throwing the powerful punches. And as proof that he is not really disciplined well by his parents is the way he talk to an old reporter.

If we will look Floyd Mayweather Jr against Manny Pacquiao, you'll realize that Manny Pacquiao even if he failed to take formal education for Secondary school before he went into boxing, but then Pacquiao is more professional than Floyd Mayweather Jr. Pacquiao is more respectful than Mayweather. Pacman is best to be used as model for the kids, while Floyd should not be promoted to kids for it will only bring harm to the kids.

I heard that Nora Aunor is already here in the Philppines and is doing a project under the TV5. This show will be starred by her son Ian De Leon and her strange husband Christopher De Leon.

When will it be the start of airing the show?

Nora Aunor's "Sa Ngalan ng Ina" at the TV5 will be aired starting October 10, after the Wil Time Big Time show.

Obviously, the "Sa Ngalan ng Ina" mini-series of Nora Aunor is the replacement to the "Bangis" for "Bangis" will end this October.

I head that the Iglesia Ni Cristo is building an in-door arena which will become the world largest arena, which means that it will be bigger than the largest arena in United States, Korea, Japan and other countries.

I want to know if the Philippine Arena will be open to any activities that are not related to the Iglesia Ni Cristo?

Miss Supsup for sure is a Christian. But whether he is an Iglesia Ni Cristo member is not yet clear.

But during the interview by the ABS-CBN, she said that her boyfriend converted to her religion for her. Her boyfriend is formerly a Catholic.

And in the news report of ABS-CBN News website, Miss Supsup said this:

"My mom is really strict. She always tells me na, dapat yung magiging boyfriend or asawa ko should be a Christian first, and that our relationship will be centered with God."

Is the Iglesia Ni Cristo a Murderer church?

I have persistently invited by a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo church. I have not give in on his first attempt to invite me to attend the so called "GEM" or Grand Evangelical Mission. But in his second attempt I answered him my YES. I attended a GEM.

During the GEM, the Pastor explained that there's no other way to attain salvation but to become part of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. I was disturbed by what the Pastor told us during the GEM, so I did a research in the internet about the Iglesia Ni Cristo.

In my search for the information about the Iglesia Ni Cristo, I found many discussions in the internet. There are those who accuse the Iglesia Ni Cristo as murderer.

My question is this: Is it really true that the Iglesia Ni Cristo is a murderer religion?

Iglesia Ni Cristo is a Christian religion. And just like the other Christian religion that exist today, it promotes love not just within the church but also to the outside of the church.

However, it is true that there are members of the church who committed the crime. Few of them are those convicted in killing several victims inside their chapel (locale's house of worship i.e. the chapel of Hinunangan Locale).

But even if there are members of the said church who committed the crime, it doesn't mean that the entire church committed the crime as explained by a blogpost, Iglesia Ni Cristo members:

But if you are an open minded person, you couldn’t accuse the whole church of the crime committed by few especially that one of the teachings or doctrines of the Iglesia Ni Cristo told its members to live the life that is in accordance to the will of God. God prohibits its children to commit murder, so the Iglesia Ni Cristo prohibits it too.

To make it more clear, let us take the case of many Catholics who are now in jail. 80 percent of the Catholics or members of the Roman Catholic Church who are jailed committed different crimes. But it doesn't mean that just because there are Catholics who committed the crime, the whole Roman Catholic Church is criminal already.

In the first place, both Roman Catholic Church and the Iglesia Ni Cristo teach their members not to kill or commit any crime because according to their teaching, murder or any other kind of crime is a sin.

What Makes Juan Manuel Marquez Strong?

Juan Manuel Marquez will fighting Manny Pacquiao this coming November 12, 2011 in Las Vegas. He really thinks that he is really strong to face the number 1 pound for pound boxer. My question is: What makes Juan Manuel Marquez strong?

Juan Manuel Marquez is a strong boxer. In fact, he is the only boxer who successfully defaced Manny Pacquiao's beautiful face.

The first bout of Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez ended up to a controversial draw. However, I don't agree to the claim of Marquez that he won the fight. For me, it was Manny Pacquiao who won the fight.

But on their second show down which ended up in a split decision, my scorecard showed that Marquez won the fight. I was not sure if what made the two judges to give more winning rounds to Pacquiao. Maybe it's because Marquez was sent to the canvas by Pacquiao for three times.

Now, for their third bout, I think, Marquez is on its decline already. So, he's not as strong as what he was when he fought Manny Pacquiao before while Manny Pacquiao is still on his prime.

But Marquez argued that he have a secret medicine he is drinking that makes him strong... stronger than before which is enough to put Pacquiao down into the canvas. This secret is not actually a secret because he boast it during media interviews. It is his first urine in a day.

In other words, soon as he wakes up in the morning, he will collect his urine and drink it for his strength.

You might ask:

Is his urine a very effective energy drink?

Based on my observation during his recent fights, his urine energy drink is not really effective if fighting a better fighter like Floyd Mayweather Jr. But it is effective if he would be facing a not so good fighter like his most recent opponent.
