How was Col. Muammar Gadhafi captured by the Libya's NTC forces?

It started when Col Muammar Gadhafi along with his loyalists attempted to escape Sirte by driving so fast in convoy. However, at about 8:30 local time, a French aircraft which is part of the NATO operation, bombed the 75 vehicle convoy. It destroyed 1 vehicle but sent the convoy into groups heading in different direction. One of the groups of convoy that were heading south, was again hit by a NATO strike in which 11 vehicles were hit. This group was carrying the former dictator.

Col. Gadhafi, along with his loyalist, escape on foot til they tried to hide on large drainage pipes. He was already severely injured.

They were captured by the NTC forces there.

Col. Muammar Gadhafi is said to have been killed in a crossfire between the NTC forces and the loyalists of Gadhafi. However, a witness said that he saw that someone from the NTC forces shot Col. Gadhafi in the abdomen and in the head using the 9mm pistol.
